Chancellor's Forum: The Diversity and Inclusion Imperative in Times of Crisis, May 7

Why Firms and Organizations with Greater Diversity Function Better and Are More Profitable

During times of crisis or economic uncertainty, women and people of color are often the first to be let go. Diversity officers and programs are the first on the chopping block, and sponsorship of diversity programs ceases. Yet, the data shows that retaining a diverse workforce far better enables organizations to thrive. Wednesday, May 6, 12 p.m.

The Women's Rights Committee is inviting you to a town hall to connect with each other about coping with the COVID-19 crisis. Is there any interest in pursuing the CLEs we had started to plan in our March 12th meeting? Those ideas included:

  • Women in the Workplace—day care, employment discrimination, pregnant workers' rights, and more
  • PA Equal Rights Amendment- turns 50 in 2021: Significant litigation under the PA ERA
  • Reproductive Rights, including June Medical Services v. Gee, pending in the U.S. Supreme Court, and pending PA legislation
