Enter by Sept. 5: Bench-Bar Scholarship Opportunities

The Philadelphia Bar Association is holding a lottery to attend the 2019 Bench-Bar & Annual Conference, Oct. 11-12 at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City. The lottery is available to Public Interest and Government Attorneys who are current members of the Philadelphia Bar Association and have not received a scholarship within the last three years. The scholarships will cover full Conference registration, but individuals will be responsible for their own hotel accommodations. Conference registration includes all CLE programming and all sponsored meals and events on Friday and Saturday. To enter the lottery, please submit your name and organization to Dawn Petit at dpetit@philabar.org by 3 p.m. on Sept. 5. Winners will be notified by email.

If you enter the lottery, please DO NOT register for the conference. If your name is NOT selected for one of the scholarships, you will be able to register and receive the Early-Bird discount until Sept. 12.

Experienced Mass Tort Attorneys Needed for LRIS Referrals

The Philadelphia Bar Association's Lawyer Referral and Information Service (LRIS) has expanded its Product Liability panels in order to better meet the needs of clients requiring assistance with injuries resulting from the use of Paxil, Reglan, Risperdal, Xarelto, Yaz, pelvic mesh or talc.

If you have significant experience litigating any of these matters, we invite you to join LRIS. Attorneys wishing to receive referrals for claims involving Paxil, Reglan, Risperdal, Xarelto, Yaz, pelvic mesh or talc must represent, or have represented, at least 12 plaintiffs in civil actions involving the same product brought in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas and must have completed a minimum of five hours of CLE in trial tactics, products liability or class actions within the past three years.
