Action News' Nydia Han to Speak May 30Nydia Han, consumer investigative reporter for 6ABC, will be the guest speaker at the May 30 meeting of the Bar-News Media Committee. The event is co-sponsored by the State Civil Litigation Section.
As a consumer investigative reporter, Han prepares reports that often touch upon products liability, class actions and other issues. She will discuss what lawyers can do to become a better resource to the news media. Han joined Action News in October 2002. Before coming to Action News, Han produced consumer investigations and also anchored for KTRK-TV, the ABC station in Houston. Over the years, she has helped viewers save money, avoid scams, and understand new technology. Prior to working in Houston, she was the investigative/criminal reporter for KOCO-TV in Oklahoma City.
Han is vice president of broadcast for the Philadelphia chapter of the Asian American Journalists Association and serves as member and volunteers for a number of other organizations. She received a Bachelor of Science in Journalism with a focus on International Studies from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. Fluent in Korean, she also graduated from a program at Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea.
