Bar Saddened by Sudden
Passing of Drexel's Papadakis

The Philadelphia Bar Association regrets the sad news of the death of Drexel University President Constantine Papadakis, who died suddenly on Sunday, April 5. He was 63.

"Though not a lawyer, he was very supportive of civic engagement, and it is thanks to him that Drexel University Earle Mack School of Law has as its core value public service and pro bono, and the City Solicitor's Office has a summer intern position for a law student paid for by Drexel," said Drexel Senior Vice President Carl "Tobey" Oxholm III.

"We mourn the loss of this great educator and civic leader," said Chancellor Sayde J. Ladov. "He has transformed Drexel into one of the nation's premier universities. His death is a loss to the entire Philadelphia region."
