In a sweeping order, President Judge Idee Fox, as Chair of the Administrative Governing Board of the First Judicial District, has extended the Judicial Emergency through May 29. Courts shall remain generally closed to the public, with certain essential operations continuing in accordance with previously issued administrative orders.
In addition, all evictions are stayed until June 1 and all June Sheriff's Mortgage Foreclosure and Tax Sales have been rescheduled to September. The order also provides for alternative methods of signing, delivery and service of court orders, as well as an expansion of emergency Orphans Court protocols. See order for details.
