Feldman Elected Vice Chancellor; Five Voted to BoardAlan M. Feldman, managing partner of Feldman, Shepherd, Wohlgelernter & Tanner, was elected Vice Chancellor of the Philadelphia Bar Association in balloting yesterday.
Feldman will serve as Vice Chancellor in 2004, Chancellor-Elect in 2005 and Chancellor in 2006.
A Philadelphia native and graduate of Temple University and Temple University's Beasley School of Law, Feldman specializes in complex personal injury and other civil litigation. He served as Treasurer of the Bar Association from 1993-1995 and as President of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association in 1995-1996. He served as Chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division, on the Board of the Philadelphia Bar Foundation, and as a member of the Association's Commission on Judicial Selection and Retention. Feldman resides in Bala Cynwyd.
Five new members were also elected to the Association's Board of Governors yesterday. The new Board members are: Daniel-Paul Alva of Alva & Associates; Margolis & Edelstein partner Mark N. Cohen; Feldman & Pinto founding shareholder Laura A. Feldman; Sacks Weston Smolinsky Albert & Luber attorney Marla A. Joseph; and Juvenile Law Center legal director Marsha Levick.
The 13,000-member Philadelphia Bar Association, founded in 1802 is America's oldest chartered metropolitan bar association and Pennsylvania's largest local bar association.
