Bar Association Urges Members to Donate to Help Katrina Victims

The Philadelphia Bar Association urges its members to consider making a donation to assist the hundreds of thousands of victims of Hurricane Katrina and offers the suggestion of donating to one of the following organizations:
  • American Red Cross -- Donate online at, or call 1-800-HELP-NOW.

  • The Salvation Army -- Donate online at, or call 1-800-SAL-ARMY.

  • American Bar Association -- Lawyers can also help via specific law-related projects, several of which are being coordinated by the ABA. For more about ABA disaster relief efforts, including volunteering legal services and donating office space, click here.

  • Hurricane Katrina Legal Community Relief Fund -- To assist lawyers who lost their homes and offices in the storm, the Louisiana State Bar Association has established the Hurricane Katrina Legal Community Relief Fund.
