Bar Foundation Accepting Applications for Schuster FellowshipThe Philadelphia Bar Foundation has announced it is now accepting applications for the Morris M. Shuster Public Interest Fellowship Program.
Applications are due Friday, September 29, 2006.
For more information, please contact Maureen Mingey at the Philadelphia Bar Foundation at (215) 238-6334.
The Morris M. Shuster Fellowship was established in 2003 as a result of a generous donation by Morris M. Shuster. Mr. Shuster's generous contribution inspired an anonymous donor to match that money in 2003 enabling the Bar Foundation to double the program's capacity. This program is intended to assist public interest lawyers who face large student loan obligations that threaten their ability to maintain their ongoing service as public interest attorneys. In 2006, at least two Shuster Fellowships, each for up to $5,000, will be awarded.
Applications for the Shuster Fellowship are due on Friday, September 29. Winners will be announced on Saturday, November 4 at the Andrew Hamilton Ball.
