Legal Briefs: An Evening at Benjamin Franklin's Library Company of Philadelphia March 2

Event Banner Image Join the Philadelphia Bar Association Academy for an exciting and educational evening at The Library Company of Philadelphia on Wednesday, March 2 at 5:30 p.m. View some of the country's historical treasures: rare printed drafts of the Constitution with John Dickinson's manuscript annotations, a draft of the Declaration of Rights in the first constitution of Pennsylvania that includes Franklin's manuscript notes and Benjamin Franklin's very own Magna Carta (in Latin).

Visit one of America's oldest cultural institutions and its first subscription library, Benjamin Franklin's Library Company. View one of the earliest photographs taken of an American judge, see bawdy and "libelous" Victorian valentines that you hope you never receive, and many other unexpected historical treats. Enjoy wine and hors d'oeuvres as you understand the legal profession in a new historical light.

The Library Company of Philadelphia is located at 1314 Locust St., Philadelphia. Tickets for this event are $35 and $70 for a member plus one guest. Space is limited and advance registration is required. For more information and tickets, click here.
