  • CAIR-Philadelphia advocates against anti-Muslim bias and discrimination in American society, and our Civil Rights Department represents persons who experience unlawful discrimination based upon actual, or perceived, Muslim identity. CAIR’s mission is to enhance understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding.
  • Neither client income, nor immigration and/or citizenship status, are criteria for acceptance of a legal case.
  • In choosing cases for direct representation, we focus our practice on the most widespread problems affecting community, cases which will have the largest impact upon our community, and on serving the most vulnerable persons within the American Muslim community. A high priority is given to cases involving local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies and to cases involving school bullying and/or harassment.
