All members of the Philadelphia legal community are invited to a complimentary reception in honor of John E. Savoth, 85th Chancellor of the Philadelphia Bar Association, on Wednesday, Jan. 4 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom of the Hyatt at The Bellevue, Broad and Walnut streets. No RSVP is necessary. This is the event in which even the city's busiest legal luminaries patiently wait in line to wish the new Chancellor and each other good luck in the year ahead.

YLD Annual Meeting and Welcome Reception for New Members Jan. 18

Mock Trial Volunteers Needed

Volunteers can make a positive impact by volunteering as a little as a few hours a week. Trial experience is not necessary: anyone with legal training can teach high school students a lot about the law and advocacy! Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Seeking Nominations for Man & Woman of the Year

Funds are raised for blood cancer research in honor of local children who are blood cancer survivors, the Boy & Girl of the Year. The titles are awarded to the man and woman in each community who raise the most funds during the ten-week campaign; the top local fundraisers in the country also win the national titles.

The Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma is accepting 2012 Man & Woman of the Year candidate nominations for the Philadelphia and Lehigh Valley regions. Business Law Section Annual Reception Feb. 6

Replansky was a 51-year-old senior partner at Blank Rome Comisky & McCauley LLP when he died in March 1994. He was a former chair of the Business Law Section.
