Environmental lawyers are familiar with the range of liability questions and litigation associated with certain per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (“PFAS”).  Our panel will discuss the implications of the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (“CERCLA”) hazardous substance designation for perfluorooctanoic acid (“PFOA”) and perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (“PFOS”), litigation trends, and the impact of recent regulatory developments on real estate transactions and environmental insurance.
