Is it worth fighting for child support in court? Sometimes a payee will spend more money in litigation than he/she/they will ever collect from the payor in a child support case. Sometimes the fight is not worth it. When deciding whether or not it is worth taking this fight to court, what information and documents should the attorney have before filing? What information and documents should the attorney have before going to trial? This CLE will focus on conversations to have with your client before filing a complaint for child support, a petition to modify child support, or a petition for contempt of child support. This CLE will also provide invaluable practice tips for litigating spousal support and support contempt hearings.
