From A Few Good Men to real-world courtroom transcripts, some of the most memorable trial moments have shaped how lawyers think about persuasion, storytelling, and advocacy. But would those moments actually succeed under today’s evidentiary rules, ethical constraints, and jury expectations?

This CLE program examines iconic trial scenes and advocacy moments through a modern lens—analyzing what made them effective, where they push (or cross) legal boundaries, and how evolving norms around credibility, professionalism, and persuasion impact trial practice today. Through guided discussion and interactive hypotheticals, participants will evaluate advocacy choices in real time and consider how they would respond in the moment.
